"Mom, I need a moment to process this in my blond mind." This is the new it phrase at our house, but let me back up and explain to you how it came about.
Yesterday, was the Demi Lavato and David Archuleta concert here. Tween's wanting and begging to go began a month out. I convinced her that it wasn't in our budget nor had she earned it. (She's a little mouthy like her mom and a spitfire like her dad.) What she didn't know is I already got 2 tickets for it. I contacted our friends who were also going and we managed to keep it secret from her. My friend and her daughter came to pick us up for dinner. I did tell her we were going out to dinner for some mother and daughter time. She was ecstatic to see that they were going with us. As I was getting into the car I asked Tween to hold some papers for me, they were the ticket print outs. She was clueless! She glanced at them, we stared at her. Quite amusing. Finally her friend held up a concert poster she made and told Tween to read it. It looked like she was going to cry! I asked if she was okay and if she understood what the papers were. That is when our new it phrase was born. She looked up quivering; and said,"Mom, I need a moment to process this in my blond mind."
I will be embroidering this on shirts real soon. Katie, yours is in the mail! LOL

Dude! That is so wrong! Why you gotta throw me under the bus like that?! ;) LOL So that It Pfrase (yes I spelled it like that on purpose) is so IT in my house too. I read the post out loud and Dan is adamant that I tell you he is rolling on the floor right now...um as he tiles the floor which is half way true. He is on the floor. Am I aloud to call my husband a butt head here? LOL
ReplyDeleteThat is toooooooooooooooooo funny! I have blond moments all of the time. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great surprise! I'm glad tween was excited about it.
BTW Katie, I'm glad yours is in the mail. LOL!
